This is a quality of life improvement that would improve readability of stack titles and items in stacks.
As posted on Discord at https://discord.com/channels/342471570955960324/342471570955960324/1051986007953784873 I wuggest changing where the number of items in a stack appears, and how. As an example, a deck of cards in a TCG game might be titled “Cyclone’s Deck”. Right now, it might appear as “36 Cyclone’s Deck”, “28 Cyclone’s Deck”, etc. with the number of cards in the stack at the front. Where a title is present, I feel a good change in format would be something like “Cyclone’s Deck [36]”, “Cyclone’s Deck [28]”. Where a title is not present, the normal number appearance applies, though the square brackets can also be applied to that as well if it makes coding easier.
A real benefit to this is seen in the attached image. You can see a chest that reads as “7 November 2022”. UK viewers in particular might read this as “The seventh day of November, 2022”. In fact, it’s saying there are 7 items inside of a chest titled “November 2022”.
This is a simple quality of life improvement that should not be hard to implement and improves readability of the titles of stacks of items, like a TCG deck or a container for items of a similar type. Perhaps a tickable option (default to on for new and existing items) can be included to remove the visibility of the number as well, but the format of what appears is more important at this time and should be easier to script in my view.
