Allow the notebook to be reduced in size#1974

the notebook can be enlarged when it pops out but it takes a significant part of the screen estate as it is. In some cases, it would be helpful to have it reduced and put in a corner.
Please allow it to be shrinked.
Also, the left column with the player colors buttons could be ideally be able to be hidden, to leave more room for the text only - and requiring less screen space overall.
