An annoying freeze happens at random intervals as a host#2215

There is an annoying game freezing happening every often at random intervals of about 5 minutes, it happens only when you are the table host and its very very noticeable when you play on tables with various assets.

The freeze happens like a software lag, but not network related, I mean its related to the Tabletop Simulator processing itself and not a connection issue. I strongly suspect its related to the game feature that keeps saving instances of the table every often so you can rewind a custom ammount of seconds instead of 30 seconds like it used to before said update.

Whatever the case this issue causes the game to freeze for about 4-8 seconds in which if you are not careful enough and happen to move something while the game does whatever its doing in that time frame it crashes it and closes it completely. The music also lags during the freeze and it becomes really annoying to have that happen all the time when you are playing more than 8 hours daily.

It would be nice if this can get fixed. Or if its related to rewind process I mentioned it would be also nice to get an option in the menu to disable such funcionallity on your tables as a host and replace it with the old 30 seconds rewind so people can disable it if their tables with many assets are being negatively affected by it.

The autosave timing defaults to 5 minutes, so it sounds like that is what’s triggering. If you go to Config->Interface->Misc Settings and scroll about half way down you can increase the interval, or set it to 0 to disable the autosave
