Attach Tool: Child object inherits parent's collider#2244

It would be wildly beneficial for the wargaming and roleplaying community modders if you make it an option for the child object to inherit the parent object’s collider when using the attach tool.

As it stands right now the attach tool still holds all the objects’ collider information. This is normally not much of an issue, though in the wargamming community there is an unspoken rule in these communities that the “base” of the model, the object in which the model stands on, is the only thing that should have a collider.

Having only the base be the collider solves any collision headaches if the model is large, or has jutting geometry that moves passed the circumferance of the base.

The attach tool should have been a gamechanger in creating models for TTS, as it would have allowed modders and players tons of custimization options for models by having multiple posed pieces avaialble to attach and configure together into one single object.

While it’s still a great tool, it falls short by still containing the collider information of every single object. This not only messes with the flow of games by having the model’s collision much bigger and thus having it interact with more things that it should, but it also changes the weight of the object so that it is not center upon the base.

My one suggestion would be to have the child object that is being attached to the parent object inherit the parent’s collision or at least have the option for that to be the case.

Thank you.

Edit: By “attach” tool I meant “Combine” tool.

God yes please. Also it would be nice if the picture figurines get the collider removed from the picture figurine and remain at the base only.
