So in the years I’ve played Tabletop on and off, one of the biggest problems I think we all face is when you’re in a server room and the host leaves without giving the host to someone else, and so it ends the server for everybody. There’s a lot of games out there where the host themselves could be knocked out/lose the game, but other players are still going and so the host has to wait around/leaves whilst forgetting they’re the host. There’s also times when the host just rage quits because they’re about to lose or something along those lines. There should be something in place so that when the original host leaves, it automatically chooses a new host, perhaps based on who has the most stable connection. Can understand if it takes like 10-20 seconds to stabilize the connection, but then at least other players can continue on. This would also protect for when the host disconnects on accident.

The problem is not everyone wants to share their save file with their players. I could add a popup dialog when exiting to easily give the host to another player.

Is there a way it could be a temporary save file that is just saved to the server rather than the new hosts PC so that it CAN’T be fully shared, and then it erases itself at the servers closure? I don’t know server connections so not sure what works and what doesn’t, just spit balling here 😅

A pop up box would also be good. Maybe the host can’t leave until it’s transferred over to someone, so they’d have to wait a moment.
