Exactly what it says on the tin. I don’t know what you did with the latest update, but when I try to connect with another player, or another player tries to connect with me, both Tabletop Simulator AND steam crashes utterly and completely. I don’t know what you guys did to crash both, but whatever it is must be pretty big.

Any multiplayer lobby (either hosted or joined) causes the game to crash and take Steam down with it.
I’ve tried both the Linux native build and the Windows build of the game running through Proton, neither are working for me. Also tried with both the regular launch option and with Vulkan, same issue is present in all 4 permutations of trying to launch the game. I also have removed all workshop mods, but the same issue is still present.

This seems to have been fixed by the 14.1 update, the game no longer crashes when hosting or joining a lobby.
