Frames drop to 1 after hitting "create"#2863

For the last week or so, whenever I click on the “Create” button and select singleplayer or multiplayer, my performance absolutely craters. I’m unable to take any actions such as choosing a game on the next screen as I’m down to less than a frame per second. My drivers all appear to be up to date. I’m worried that an installed workshop mod may have corrupted my game. I tried verifying the game files and uninstalling and reinstalling - no fix.

Try disabling voice chat and see if it fixes the issue. Configuration -> Sounds
