Performance issues after latest updates#2883

I run a Tabletop RPG, and since the latest update I have had a lot of performance issues with the game, the game kicked a few of the players when i was swapping maps (I assume for failing to respond in time). I have attached a save file to this report

hmm… the save file appears to large to actually upload, not sure what to do about that

Try disabling voice chat in Configuration -> Sounds to fix lagging, let me know if it fixes it!

It helped the lag quite a lot, it’s still a bit worse than it was before the update i think (Eating more ram, the network spikes harder during saves and loads) though that could just be my save getting more bloated

Why is this one of the most upvoted issues regarding P2P connectivity and the devs are completely ignoring anything to do with it… how hard is it to keep players connected to the lobby while they reconnect? Or allow them to run their own private server on whatever device they feel is stable so the room they run is always open and doesn’t delete their (time until last autosave) worth of progress? Some of these comments go back 4 years with 0 responses from dev team on community chat, forums, discussions. I see countless ignored posts and its still a constant headache… when are the devs of this game going to open their eyes and act??
