No Connection To Steam On Linux Via Proton#2978

1. Be on Arch (EndeavourOS)
2. Run game via Steam client, using default options, without Vulkan or VR mode.
3. Get to title screen.
4. “Could not connect to Steam. Please restart Steam” in the message log.

Same issues on Fedora 43 KDE Plasma edition.

It works if you run the game in Proton 10 instead of Proton 9. So uhh, that’s… that’s cool. Don’t know why.

I’m not running any forced compability (option unchecked) in Zorin OS and it starts right up for me.
