I see recently the lighting / texturing issues with unity asset bundles, such as Heroforge miniatures, has been seemingly fixed. However, any glow / light sources from them are now no longer working.
This can be seen in the provided images. The one where the glow / light effect is working is from April. At the time of having imported the asset bundle (Heroforge model), there was the issue of metallic surfaces / emissive lighting on certain unity assets caused by the Unity Engine upgrade, which can be seen on the hair with the shine/glosss and the lack of metallic shine on the gold.
The image where the glow isn’t seen is recent. Having re-exported the model off Heroforge and re-imported it into TTS has given it the proper textures on everything as seen with the hair and metal, just now the glow is not working.
I’ve provided both asset bundles. The one with “New” in the name has no lighting.
I discovered this after making an updated model of a D&D character on Heroforge, exporting it from their website, then importingit to tabletop simulator where I immediately noticed the model had proper metallic shine and lookeed as it should compared to before.
After talking to Heroforge support, they re-exported all of my prior models, and the same trend is seen on every single model- Newly exported models, even without any change, will have a proper look with metal, hair, etc, except for the lack of light / glow effects.
I assume this is an issue with unity asset bundles as it was with the prior emissive lighting / metal surface issue, but I do not have any asset bundles not from heroforge to test this with.
I’ll second this, it’s been around since the recent engine update (I think before the last fix, only either the emissive or transparency would work? now its only the emissives), and custom models that I’ve made myself have the same issue. Emissives set in the material shader that were previously working are not working anymore.
Neither an asset bundle compiled before the change nor one compiled now with the updated unity project files works.
