Real Life Units and Resizing#3121

It would be great if the in-engine units were mapped onto real units, so 1 unit in-game was 1 centimeter. Players could select whether they prefer metric or imperial and it just changes the translation. This would make it so much easier to get scale correct instead of constantly eyeballing it.

A change that would go well with that is not having scale be exclusively a relative unit, but absolute too. So if a player set the height of a model to 10, it wouldn’t make it 10 time larger, but 10 units tall.

Another thing that could be changed is the ability to scale up or down the table itself. The model wouldn’t change, nor the position of the top. The 0,0 origin would still be top and center of the table. This give players the ability to easily get more table space for complex games without having to make all the pieces smaller.

for the first part I think the size is in inch so 1 inch = 2.54 cm (and you can change the rulers parameters to cm, grid, or inch)
for the last part there is a table that is scalable in the workshop
not sure if it helps
