There are plenty of times in my playgroup that we realize that we need to go back a minute or so. The rewind ctrl-Z feature is nice, but it only jumps back 10 seconds at a time, and then one has to wait for the table to load up. Ctrl-Z-ing multiple times in a row takes a long time and is just painful.
I would like to suggest either a script command that would allow one to access/load the saved buffer states, or maybe even a TTS-implemented feature, where one would enter how far they wish to go back in time when pressing ctrl-Z (or maybe something like shift-ctrl-Z would bring up the extra option to select time)
How about allowing script writters to triger a “record rewind point”? We know our code is about to manipulate the board, so a line of code at the start of the function to save an undo point would be useful.
I think scripts shouldn’t manipulate saved buffer states.
But idea is good in general. I think there might be options by right click on rewind button.
