onLoad events not loading after game open for a long time#437
I do a lot of modding in TTS and tend to leave the game open for long periods of time. Ever since the v13.0 update, I’ve started having odd problems here and there, and they all seem to relate to having the game opened for a long amount of time.
One of the problems I’ve come across is onLoad events not triggering on any game whatsoever. They load properly for a while, but after the game has been loaded for a long time, they simply stop loading. The only way that they start loading again is by restarting the whole game, not just the game lobby.
This is very annoying for a modder like myself, as I sometimes have to close and reopen the game in the middle of developing things.
I’ve attached an example screenshot of a game of Red Dragon Inn, where each of the boxes on the side should have selection buttons, but no buttons loaded at all, the floor itself has a tooltip, which doesn’t normally happen and it is interactable, which it shouldn’t be.
I have had this same problem randomly since V13.0 update. The only way to get it working again was to exit and restart the game. I have verified the files integrity with Steam, and it has happened in 3 different mods.
I have checked the logs and no error is loggeed, but the onLoad events are not triggered.
I haven’t seen this, but have had 2 reports of it in the last week.
EDIT: More reports of needing to fully exit TTS before onLoad is happening (in this case onLoad creates some UI so it’s clear when it did not). These reports are from players who presumably haven’t left TTS open for extended periods.
I didn’t see this before submitting my bug, but this sounds so similar to what I’m experiencing; now after reading this, I don’t know if it is or isn’t caused by Atom, I was only assuming based on my testing. My bug submission is #489
same problem but looks like is atom i was trying to try a module update but bottoms load fail. I open Atom but it may not due i have game open long time too and when open a new module bottoms wont to load
