Web cams / Video Chat#49

It would be cool if users could turn their webcam on in game just like turning on their mic without needing another app and/or another monitor. Obviously make it admin controlled!

I think voice chat should be improved before introducing this. For instance nowadays it is not even working on Mac.

I don’t see why the several negative votes. That would not for sure be mandatory, if you don’t want to use it just don’t.

I don’t understand the massive downvotes. If you fear for unsafe content through webcams, just add an option to automatically reject incoming web cams.

You can be obnoxious enough in voice chat already.

I think the DM can choose whether or not to enable it. The presumption is that you are gaming with a group that you want to be socializing with.

I would be ok with just integrating a service like zoom.
I have to open zoom and tabletop at the same time, which is a performance hit.

It would be nice to have it built in the game. Yes we would have to manage the zoom link on our end, but the admin would be required to provide a zoom link if they want video chat. so win win.

People downvoting, there is a disable/mute feature for a reason, it is totally optional.
