It would be great if the hosting player could save the current client session state if a disconnect from server happens.
Instead of automatically exiting the hosting player to the main menu they should get the option to save the current asset state as a saved game instead of relying on autosaves.
Alternatively this could be implemented as an autosave on exit.
What if disconnect is caused by new session state?
I am not sure if that question is meant for me. I am also not familiar enough with the underlying tech to understand what “caused by new session state” implies for a disconnected game.
My suggestion is purely from the point of view of a player who regularly experiences disconnects during games :)
