I just got a Quest 2, and I’m finding that the selector beam and grab point is in an awkward location. It projects upward like a light saber beam, when it would be much more ergonomic to project forward, above the trigger. This is how it works everywhere else, to include in the Steam VR menu. I’ve included a picture to illustrate what I mean.
There is a setting in tabletop sim to adjust the angle. Under VR Settings, it’s a toggle option called “Laser Angled”.
Thanks, Arix! Now I feel dumb. I looked and never saw that VR settings menu. I was expecting to find something about the laser angle in the Controls tab instead of the Interface tab.
New suggestion: Perhaps the “Angled laser” option could be on by default when using a Quest 2 controller?
I do agree that it should be the default haha, I only found that setting by accident… I’m on a Rift S and it also defaults to the awkward angle.
