Add an option to disable to flip table button for the host itself. I had a session where the game crashed my whole PC (the whole PC, not just the game, I had to force restart it) because the host clicked the flip table accidentally. Allow the host to fully disabled this button. It’s pointless and useless and shouldn’t even exist in the first place.
There is a coolness factor to demoing the physics, but I would at least concede it should be disabled by default. You should have to work to enable it.
the whole PC, not just the game
Consider upgrading your PC.
Crashing is not the only concern. The rewind feature isn’t precise enough to recover a flipped table episode.
Rewind still isn’t good enough? :(
I would say that the true issue is it’s too easy to press accidentally when playing. The button should probably move to somewhere else and/or have a confirm to prevent accidents. It’s not exactly a vital piece of UI for 99.99% of the time…
-ui_main_flip
will hide the flip button
ugh i hate that there’s functionality like that that is hidden inside the console commands…. It’s so 1982
But I hate bugs and lags so I agree to deal with console. :)
Also flipping is so unrealistic. Tables goes down forever in an invisible abyss.
Wasting my time to search for a way to permanently disable the Table Flipping is worse than irritating… A gimmick for the first time, but shouldn’t be a part of a platform you can spend hours on playing a game with friends. P.S. the command flag didn’t work in the General Launch Options in Steam.
@Kjvkjv That’s not where that command goes. It goes into the system console inside TTS. If you’re talking about -ui_main_flip that is. You can either run it from there every time you start the game or add it to the startup config file for TTS so it runs automatically every time the game starts. The guide for doing so is here: https://api.tabletopsimulator.com/systemconsole/
