Post 13.1.1 Hotfix "Could Not Connect To Steam"#821

Prior to 13.1 updaate I was able to run TTS with no issues.

Post 13.1 I would get the main TTS screen to come on but says I am not connected to Steam and to please restart Steam, even though I am connected to Steam and even though I opened TTS through my Library in Steam. I also get the “Name in use error, even though my name has been fine since I started using TTS over a year ago.

Post 13.1.1 Hotfix …Now I only get the “Could Not Connect To Steam” even when I open through Steam. I have tried to open tusing Open GL through Steam and it just loads and the only way to stop it is to use TAsk Manager and end the process.

I would try to verify the game and if that doesn’t work I would reinstall Steam.

Validated game files — Everything was good. Tried to start TTS and same result. Could Not Connect to Steam. Tried through my Desktop Icon and through Steam, both with samae result. Uninstalled Steam (to include every game I had installed) and reinstalled TTS first and then validated game files just to be safe. Ttried starting TTS through desktop icon and through Steam….all with the same result.

Just a heads up…not sure what happened, but I can now run TTS just fine. I havent done anything different than the above and am still running TTS Hotfix 13.1.1,
