Rewind time very glitchy since 13.1#839

Since rewind time adjustments were made in 13.1, the feature is very unpredictable with physics objects. Objects will often load and immediately get velocity from being partially inside what they were resting on, causing them to fly several inches. Components will often be flipped over. Furthermore, the system for detecting when something “changed” has a pretty low resolution, so the rewind points often bundle several different object movements together, lowering the resolution with which things can be undone.

While the ability to idle for a while and then come back and undo is nice, overall the system is much flakier than before. I hope the new system can be improved, but if not, It’s bad enough in 13.1 that I would actually prefer to revert it to the old behavior.

Can you share a save file that has issues with physics going wonky when reloading?

Very sorry for never getting back to you and building a repro case. I think if you freeze something like a game board and then lay some thin pieces like tokens/chips and cards on top of it, that will probably maximize your chances. The thin components tend to “eject” from the frozen object.
