Search within a PDF#971

It would be super handy to be able to search for a word in a PDF file. I am looking right now at a manual browsing for the point where “fieldworks” are mentioned and being able to ctrl-f it would be a massive time saver.

The title would have better been “search within a PDF” or “in a PDF” but I can’t find how to edit it unfortunately.

Would only work when it´s a searchable pdf. Pdf´s created out scanned rulebooks can´t be searched.

Indeed that would only work with the pdf where the text is actually text and not just a scanned image. But several are like those.
The one I was browsing was of such a type. I had to switch to a PDF viewer and search within that. Being able to do that in-game would have been a time saver and it would have preserved the “immersivity” of Tabletop Simulator.

Yeah your completely right, I did let you my upvote there. Many rulebooks are published and downloadable by the game company and are searchable. My friends mostly have a second monitor and display rulebooks and Discord on it and they don’t understand why I only have 1.
